About US
The Human Rights Commission was established under the "Regulation of the Human Rights Commission" issued by Cabinet Resolution No. (207) dated 8/8/1426 AH. The Commission aims to protect and promote human rights in accordance with international human rights standards in all fields, raise awareness of them and contribute to ensuring the implementation of this in light of the provisions of Islamic Sharia. The Commission is the body competent to express opinion and advice on human rights issues.

Objectives
The Human Rights Commission aims - in accordance with Article 1 of its organization - to protect and promote human rights in accordance with international human rights standards in all fields, to raise awareness of them, and to contribute to ensuring the implementation of this in light of the provisions of Islamic Sharia. It is the governmental body competent to express opinion and advice on human rights issues.
